
Research, Communications and Economic Development
Angela is a recent graduate of the Masters Economic Development and Innovation program at the University of Waterloo and also holds a B.A. in Communications and Sociology from York University. Angela joins Nordicity as a Researcher.
Angela has a background in Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Event Management in the public, private and not for profit sectors. Her portfolio in rounded out by extensive experience as an art show curator and presenting her own mixed media artwork in Toronto’s leading art institutions and spaces. This background informs her in-depth interest in leveraging Economic Development in conjunction with the Creative and Cultural Industries/Sector both within and outside of Canada.
Prior to joining Nordicity, Angela worked with the Town of Whitby (Ontario) on enhancing the Town’s vitality and quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors through the measurement, development and delivery of Strategic Initiatives and local Economic Development plans and programs such as Culture Plan projects, Tourism Strategy, Benchmarking Report(s), Joint Downtowns Survey, and the new Food Guide.
