Having worked for Shell, PwC Management Consultants, and Rabobank International and with more than 30 years of experience in consultancy positions, Hessel is able to take various angles in tackling business issues. He particularly acquired experience in software development (artificial intelligence), business economics, formal market regulation and self-regulation in international business.
With a background in science and technology (Hessel holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry), Hessel is inclined to approach problems initially from a quantitative angle to get a proper understanding of the scope of possible solutions. In addition, Hessel pays due attention to the organisational and political environment of the client’s business. His personal and responsive approach helps Hessel in winning the confidence of the client and the clients’ organisation, and, hence, in implementing effective solutions.
