In partnership with BASIX India, Nordicity has been selected for Institutional Strengthening of the Ginigoada Foundation in Papua New Guinea. The project is administered by Cowater Sogema for the Canadian Trade and Investment Facility for Development (CTIF).
CTIF is a seven-year project funded by the Global Affairs Canada to support priority trade and investment-related policy reforms that are aligned with Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) objectives and have a high potential to reduce poverty in ODA-eligible developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Ginigoada Foundation is a nongovernmental organisation based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG) providing vocational skills training and life coaching for disadvantaged youth and young adults in order to increase their access to employment in sectors including but not limited to tourism and hospitality, construction, and business management.
The project will aim to strengthen Ginigoada’s organizational and financial management through technical support. As part of this broader effort, Nordicity will provide specialist support on gender-based analysis and social inclusion, focusing on capacity building for institutional change. This support will be carried out through an analysis of the context within which the Foundation operates, its internal policies, procedures and external programming. Following that, Nordicity will develop a bespoke training program that will enable the organization to effectively use gender-based analysis in its planning and program design.
