Nordicity, in partnership with Donald Luxton & Associates, has been selected by the City of Surrey to review its Heritage Services as part of the City’s Parks, Recreation and Culture (PRC) 10-Year Strategic Plan.

The new PRC plan will identify the greatest needs and opportunities across Surrey’s parks, recreational, arts, cultural and heritage facilities and programming, whilst meeting the needs of a diverse and growing community. The City is currently conducting public consultations through survey, idea fairs and workshops.

As the lead consultancy conducting the Heritage Services Review, Nordicity will contribute to the research and stakeholder engagement through the thematic areas of decentralization, digital technology and partnerships. The project team will also be carrying out a series of consultations with various internal City staff, stakeholders within the wider heritage sector, as well as engaged citizens. The project will include a thorough internal document review and detailed comparative research, identifying relevant best practices form around the world.
